Welcome to Strong 4 Life Coaching! I'm Cheryl. I'm passionate about helping people enjoy moving their bodies, getting strong, and improving their overall fitness and wellness. You can find me strength training in my garage gym, watching 90-day Fiance with my husband and two boys, walking my dogs, loving on all the dogs, listening to podcasts, or telling jokes. Ha!
I grew up dancing and playing softball. I tried playing several sports and eventually found the sport for me when I found cheerleading in high school. This is when I fell in love with lifting weights. One of the football coaches took on the task of teaching the cheerleaders how to lift. He gave us a program to follow, and I LOVED IT! I went on to take a weightlifting class in college and nerded out over everything I learned. Then my fitness journey took a back seat when I started teaching and had my kids. My fitness and health took a back seat until I was in my early forties when I found a community of people that enjoyed coming together, working out, and having fun while doing it. My love for lifting and being fit was revived, and I was so happy to have that part of my life back! After nineteen years of impacting children's lives, I decided to leave teaching and become a personal trainer.
Fast forward to today, I focus on helping individuals optimize the human movement system to train without pain and empower them to take control of their health and wellness through the 4 pillars: Mindset, Nutrition, Movement and Recovery. Since becoming a certified personal trainer, I have added several certifications to help me be better for my clients. These certifications include: certified nutrition coach, Precision Nutrition L2 master coach, Pain-Free Performance Specialist Certification (PPSC), and PPSC Mobility Certification, and most recently Menopause Coaching Specialist.

The story behind S4L
Most people know that they should exercise to be “healthy”. Yet many do not do it on a regular basis. This is usually due to the fact that they don’t know what to do for exercise, are possibly in pain, and find it hard to stay motivated and consistent, especially when life gets in the way.
Strong 4 Life Coaching was created to provide a space for people of all ages to move and challenge their bodies, no matter their fitness level, in ways that make them stronger and more resilient. Our pain-free method of training helps individuals to train around pain and actually improve their range of motion and strengthen tissues in order to reduce the pain they are experiencing. Our workouts and community keep people motivated and consistent…even when life gets in the way.
But it doesn’t stop there. Deep health isn’t just about Movement. Mindset, Nutrition, and Recovery are also important for health and longevity. This is why we also offer Nutrition Coaching, teach mobility and recovery techniques such as foam rolling, add parasympathetic breathing and stretching at the end of our workouts, and encourage stress management techniques.
